Just for Students

If She Can I Can is committed to developing the next generation of female leaders. We complement the knowledge taught in schools with the necessary leadership and confidence skills that are often revealed only in the workplace. We believe that the earlier women learn these skills, the better equipped they are to succeed.

The following offerings are for full-time female students. They can be requested by students or by the institutions or organizations that work with them.

Services for Students

Career Preparation One-on-one - for graduate students
Transitioning from student to career woman can be as exciting as it is daunting. Coaching & Career Preparation One-on-One is a chance for you to work individually with a coach to prepare for this transition by exploring your career options, discovering how prepared you are to begin your career, and defining what you want to achieve in the short- and long-term. You'll evolve a vision for your career and create an actionable plan with steps to move toward your vision. Along with defining your agenda in these sessions, your coach will provide you with practical guidance for preparing resumes, networking, and interviewing.
Includes: (in person or on phone)
- 1 x 45 minute introduction session
- 4 x 45 minute one-on-one sessions (one session every 2 weeks, or more frequently)
- Email and phone support during 10 week period following introduction session
 
                         

Career Confidence - for graduate students
Are you a little uncertain of a path to take, or what to do next, or how to unblock a situation? It can be daunting when you get stuck - it can take up time, energy and emotional effort, all of which you want to be applying to making progress. Career Confidence offers a quick injections of support and collaboration to help you find a way to get you unstuck and moving forwards again. We start with a coaching session to learn about where you are today and spend time exploring where you'd like to head. At the end of the session you'll have an action or two. Then you'll have 3 additional mini-coaching sessions to use over a 4 month period so you can reach out to a trusted supporter in your corner when needs arise.
Includes: (in person or on phone)
- 1 x 45 minute introduction session
- 3 x 20 minute session (you choose session time over a 4 month period after the introduction session)


  

Mastering Leadership Know-How Workshops
Excited as you are to be gaining knowledge and experience in new areas, your future success will hinge
not only on the academic smarts you're acquiring, but also on leadership skills that can boost your confidence as you move from student to career woman. Our Mastering Leadership Know-How Workshops provide insights into leadership in industry and academia. They show you how the right leadership skills can earn you recognition as a strong and capable leader. The exercises in this workshop help you determine your leadership style, and weekly homework helps you put what you're learning into practice and gain mastery in leadership skills. This workshop is designed for students in graduate school.
